Zombeak
Four Satanists kidnap a waitress with the intention of offering her to Satan. But when her boyfriend and two of his friends come to rescue her,
the Satanists' plans are ruined and the spirit of Satan inhabits the body of a chicken. Initially, not the best production values; there is poor
lighting and a very bad overdubbed audio track as well as some shoddy camerawork. The acting also leaves a lot to be desired.
The title and tagline ('evil most fowl') suggest a rather tongue in cheek approach to the horror, however, that is as far as the comedy goes. As
the characters run round an abandoned house fighting and attempting to avoid Satan a number of appalling one-liners are cracked in an effort to
rescue the decidedly woeful plot.
A lot of poor films can be saved with the classic 'so bad it's good' line, but as you've no doubt guessed, this is not one of those films. The
film is virtually unwatchable as it stumbles along a tedious plot which is acted in the most obvious and hammy ways -think an un-ironic Alan
Rickman in Robin Hood.
For a film fronted by a zombie chicken it actually doesn't feature that much. It is a struggle to find any redeeming features in what is ultimately
a very bad film that is a chore to watch. If you really must watch a hen-based horror, maybe try Poultrygeist instead.
